  • Reformation Sunday & 9th Grade Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation): THIS Sunday, October 25, 9 am worship service, followed by a reception in Fellowship Hall from 10-11 am.*


    As we help our confirmation students grow in faith, we want to show them how God works through us when we serve one another and celebrate together.


    Please sign up to help with the Affirmation of Baptism Reception! Food will be provided. We need volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up. Please consider signing up for one or more areas!


    Thank you for showing our young people what it means to live out our faith and care for our church family!

    Worship in the Weeks Ahead:
    • Weekend of October 31 and November 1:  There will be NO worship at 5 pm due to it landing on Halloween.
    • Service of Remembrance: Everyday occurrences can evoke memories of loved ones who have been called home. Some memories bring a small smile, some a quiet tear. For 2026, our annual Service of Remembrance will change. Because Halloween falls on Saturday this year, we will blend the Service of Remembrance with regular worship at all three worship services on Sunday, November 1. If a loved one has been called home, we can read their name during the service, and you may have a candle made in their memory. The candle will be lit during the service and may be taken home at the conclusion. If you would like a candle made for your beloved saint, please email Alexandra Colaianni by Friday, October 23, with the correct spelling of your loved one’s first and last name. Your loved one’s candle will be waiting for you at the altar when you arrive. All are invited to come and remember, whether your loss was recent or several years ago.
    • Anima Singers at Worship: Sunday, November 8, at 9:00 am, Our Saviour’s Campus. Join us for worship and the beautiful voices of Anima Singers, a renowned youth choir committed to helping young people of diverse backgrounds and abilities discover the joy of singing in an inclusive, supportive community. Anima is Latin for “breath,” “life,” and “soul,” a fitting name for a choir that brings music to life through many voices singing together.

    • Caregiver’s Journey: Friday, October 30, 9:00 am, Our Saviour's Campus, Bonhoeffer Conference Room.
    • Banned Book Club: Two boys. A reform school hiding a dark truth. A story that demands to be heard. Join us for The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, a powerful novel about friendship, injustice, and the cost of looking away. Tuesday, November 17, at 7 pm at the Our Saviour’s Campus.     • Women’s Ministry: Flower Arranging Class: Friday, December 4, 6:30–8:30 pm, Celebration Campus. Join professional florist Janet Gallagher for a fun evening of creativity and fellowship! Create your own winter floral arrangement with Janet’s guidance ($40; register by November 15) or observe and enjoy the fellowship ($10; register by December 4).     • Little Free Pantry: Thank you for continuing to help keep our Little Free Pantry outside Door #3 stocked for our neighbors! Supplies are starting to dwindle, and the fastest-moving items are peanut butter, almond butter, jam, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. If you’re able to donate, please leave items on the shelves outside the Bonhoeffer Conference Room at the Our Saviour’s Campus. And if you need something, please help yourself.
    • SCARCE Repair Fair: Saturday, October 24, 9:00 am-12:00 pm, SCARCE Education Center, 800 S. Rohlwing Rd. (Route 53), Addison. Bring household items in need of repair and let the experts take a look! Repairs are first-come, first-served. The event is free, though small repair fees may apply. Cash is encouraged.     • Moving Up Meal for Loaves & Fishes: Monday, October 26, 5:00–6:30 pm, 580 Exchange Ct. #1200, Aurora. Help prepare and serve a meal for participants in the “Moving Up” program at Loaves & Fishes, a goal-setting and self-sufficiency program that helps participants build financial stability. If you’re unable to serve that evening, you can drop off food donations at the Our Saviour's Campus church kitchen, 815 S. Washington Street, between 9:00 am–2:00 pm that day. Sign up here.
    • Season of Sharing Kickoff: Sunday, November 1. We’re starting the season with a toilet paper drive for Loaves & Fishes! Last year, we collected more than 6,000 rolls! Think we can beat that this year? Loaves & Fishes serves more than 3,000 families every week, so this simple everyday essential can make a real difference. Bring a package or two the next time you’re at church and help us overflow the bins. Let’s put God’s love into action!
    • Sleep Out Saturday: Saturday, November 7, 4 pm to Sunday, November 8, 10:30 am, St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 1313 N Mill St, Naperville. Join us as we partner with Pastor Sarah Swindall and the St. Timothy’s youth group to raise awareness and support families experiencing homelessness. Sign up here.

    • We are excited to welcome Katee O’Toole to the Our Saviour’s team as our new Ministry Support Lead! Many of you may already know Katee and her family through their many contributions to our church community. 


      • Katee brings extensive administrative and coordination experience and is currently completing her Master of Divinity at Northern Seminary, where her work has focused on accessibility, disability ministry, and pastoral care. 


      In her new role at Our Saviour’s, Katee will coordinate weddings and funerals and support the front office, a role that fits her natural gifts of organization, compassion, and care. She’ll work alongside families, pastors, and staff to help make these important moments feel supported and thoughtfully cared for. She begins November 3.


      At home, Katee and her husband, Jon, stay busy with their children, Ellery and Leighton, and their two pugs, Oswin and Rosie. When they have time to relax as a family, they might be found watching Doctor Who or gathering around a board game.


      We are grateful to have Katee joining our staff and look forward to all the ways God will work through her gifts and ministry at Our Saviour’s. Please join us in welcoming Katee to her new role!

  • We are SO grateful for Pastor Brian, Pastor Elisabeth, and Pastor Anna, and for the many ways they share God’s love, offer care and guidance, and help us grow in faith. Their leadership and compassion are a gift to Our Saviour's. 


    We pray for God’s continued blessing upon them and for strength and joy in their ministries.

    • Labyrinth Update: Have you seen the Labyrinth taking shape at our Celebration Campus? There’s a lot of creativity, hard work, and dedication going into this exciting addition, thanks to Debi and Marty Kermeen! If you haven’t had a chance to see it in progress, here’s a little more about the people and work behind it. Work on the Labyrinth has made great progress, though unexpected rain and cold temperatures last week created some setbacks. Debi and Marty have adapted by building a warming dome to help the materials set properly, and with warmer, drier weather this week, they’re hopeful for a strong finish. Please keep this project and the dedicated team in your prayers! Stay tuned for more updates and interesting “Did You Know?” facts about the Labyrinth. In the meantime, feel free to check out their website to learn more.

    Family Bingo Night!

    • Nearly 50 people of all ages joined the Stewardship and Endowment Committee for a fun-filled Bingo Night celebrating this year’s stewardship theme, God Works. Between pizza, traditional and Our Saviour’s-themed Bingo, LUCKIEST LUTHERAN trophies, and exciting raffle prizes, there was plenty of friendly competition and laughter. Pastor Brian also shared a reflection on how regular giving and generosity support our congregation's life and ministry. From restaurant gift cards and movie tickets to choosing worship songs or reserving a row for Christmas Eve, the prizes added to the fun. Those who submitted their 2027 pledge before or during the event also received extra raffle tickets as a thank-you.Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make the evening such a success. God works through our generosity, our service, and our community, and sometimes through a little friendly Bingo competition, too! (Contributed by Lee Ann Nasman)
    • CROP Walk: The CROP Walk for Hunger last Sunday was a wonderful opportunity to come together with people from across our community. Participants walked the 3.1-mile route, met new friends from other local congregations, and helped pack taco meals for Loaves & Fishes at the conclusion of the walk. It was interesting to learn that the CROP Walk is one of the largest ecumenical gatherings in Naperville and has such a long history. The experience was a meaningful reminder of how many people around the world, and even within our own communities, struggle with food insecurity and hunger. It was a powerful way to walk together, serve together, and remember that our efforts can make a difference. (Contributed by Michele Larson)

  • Preschool Registration: Early registration for the 2027-2028 school year begins Monday, November 16, for Our Saviour’s Church members. Have a child ages 2-5? Call 630-281-4300 today to schedule a tour and learn more about Celebration Children’s Center. Registration forms may be dropped off at the preschool office, Door #8 at Celebration, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Community registration begins Monday, November 30, and spots fill quickly.
