    • God Works Summit: Saturday, August 22, 9 am-12 pm, Our Saviour's Campus.  Join us as we explore our annual theme, God Works, enjoy fellowship, and discover how God is calling us to work together in our faith community. Whether you've been part of Our Saviour's for years, are new to our faith community, actively serve in ministry, or are looking for ways to get more connected, this morning is for you.     • Worship this weekend: We’re excited to welcome two gifted guest pastors to lead worship this weekend while Pastor Elisabeth and Pastor Brian are away. At our 5 pm Saturday and 10 am Sunday services, we’re pleased to welcome The Rev. Dr. Elle Dowd, a local Lutheran pastor, author of Baptized in Tear Gas, and a well-known voice for faith and justice. At our 9 am and 11:00 am Sunday services, Pastor Anna Roper will preach and lead worship. Pastor Anna is a member of Our Saviour’s and serves on the staff of the Metro Chicago Synod. We’re grateful to Pastors Elle and Anna for sharing their gifts with our congregation this weekend. 

    • Making Our Campus More Accessible: We're excited to share that the main restrooms at the Our Savior's Campus have been upgraded with new automatic, ADA-compliant doors! These touch-free doors make it easier for everyone to enter and exit the restrooms—especially those who use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids. They also provide a more hygienic, hands-free experience and make access easier for parents with strollers, those carrying items, and everyone who visits our campus. This improvement is another way we're working to create a welcoming, accessible space where everyone can fully participate in the life of our church.

    • The Our Saviour's Mission Trip to Slovakia: was highlighted in the most recent CCE News Report from ESS Martin's YouTube page. Lots of familiar faces can be seen! We hope you check it out!

    • Staffing News: We are excited to share...Diane Griesbach will be retiring in September after many years of faithfully coordinating baptisms, weddings, and funerals. We are deeply grateful for her dedicated ministry and will have an opportunity to celebrate her in the coming months. 
      We are also pleased to announce that Christy LaFave Grace will be returning to our staff in August as our Ministry Support Specialist. Many of you know Christy from her previous role as our Communications Manager. She will coordinate weddings and funerals, while baptism coordination will transition to our Worship team. Christy will spend August training alongside Diane to ensure a smooth transition. Please join us in thanking Diane for her faithful service and welcoming Christy back to the Our Saviour's staff!

    • Toilet Paper and Diaper Collection: As we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday, let's put God’s love into action.

      Throughout July and August, Our Saviour's is collecting 250+ packages of toilet paper and diapers for Loaves & Fishes Community Services.

      The diaper shelves are empty, especially in sizes 4, 5, 6, and 7. They are essential for toddlers and children with special needs.

      Every package makes a difference. You don't have to be a member of Our Saviour's to help. Invite your friends and neighbors. Together, let’s turn 250 years of celebration into countless acts of compassion!
